December construction update

What has been done in recent months?

Over the past few months, work has been in full swing to further complete the park. As previously stated in the March 2024 newsletter, we started installing 7 homes after the season. We are currently hard at work to install house number 7, and even house number 8, which was recently sold, before the Christmas vacations.

Roof tiles & solar panels

For the first 6 houses, the roof tiles including solar panels are already installed, and we have already started the interior work. This includes tiling, plumbing, spraying, and painting.

Rain, frost & storm

Because we have had over 15 work days on which no progress could be made (rain, frost, & storm) over the past few months, masonry work is running a little behind schedule. We remain dependent on the weather, but are obviously doing everything we can to catch up.

Home connections

The home connections (cables and pipes serving electricity, water, and sewage) are scheduled for the end of January 2025. After the home connections, we will start the work overseeing the preparation for living (planting, footpaths, and roads).

Interior furnishing

The further furnishing of the homes is scheduled to take place in February/March 2025. This includes:

• The delivery and installation of the kitchen.
• The delivery and installation of the wellness package.
• Furnishing the home based on the interior package chosen.

If everything continues to go well, the homes will be completed by the end of March 2025 and will be available for rent by Easter.

A sleek green lawn for recreation and relaxation

Nothing exudes tranquility and quality like a sleek, vibrant lawn. That is why the entire area around the wellness and housing clusters was recently sown with a specially selected grass variety. This mixture is ideally suited both for high loads (think playgrounds and picnic areas) and for a soft and fresh carpet under your feet.

- Fast germination: within a few weeks you will already see a dense turf appearing.
- Weather resistant: this type of grass stays green even in changing weather conditions.
- Easy to maintain: thanks to the good root structure, mowing and fertilizing are easy, thus reducing maintenance costs.

De recreatievijver vormt het hart van Resort Knuitershoek: een plek om te zwemmen, of te genieten vanaf de houten vlonders. Voor helder water en een natuurlijk ecosysteem werken we samen met de Van Ginkel Groep aan de filterzone.

•    Aanplanting waterplanten: de eerste fases van ondergedoken en oeverplanten zijn reeds verspreid langs de randen van de filterzone. Deze waterplanten zorgen voor zuurstoftoevoer, zuivering van het water en bieden schuilplaatsen voor kleine vissen en waterinsecten.
•    Oevermatten met beplanting: binnenkort plaatsen we speciaal opgekweekte oevermatten. Deze matten bevatten al diverse soorten oeverbegroeiing die, zodra ze wortelen, stevig verankerd zijn tegen golfslag en waterbeweging. Ook deze oeverbegroeiing draagt bij aan biodiversiteit en geeft de vijver een natuurlijke uitstraling.

Houses almost delivered

Our homes have now been pre-delivered; this means that, structurally, everything is ready and the official delivery is approaching. The finishing contractors are currently busy with:

- Final installation of kitchens and bathrooms: high-quality durable materials and energy-efficient appliances are being carefully installed.
- Finishing interior walls and floors, everything is being finished with attention to detail.
