For example, visit Assen (19 km), Appelscha (9 km), and Beilen (12 km) from our holiday park in Drenthe.

What does Drenthe have to offer you?
In the beautiful surroundings of our vacation park, you will certainly never get bored! Every day is a new adventure with endless possibilities. The holiday houses are located in Hoogersmilde, 20 km below Assen. Nature there is beautiful, and you can experience all kinds of things! Among other things, the park borders one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands; National Park Drents-Friese Wold. There are hiking trails and bike rides galore in this area!
When vacationing at our park, you will find excellent hiking, mountain biking, or cycling routes through the many natural areas.
Visit the surrounding towns such as Assen, Appelscha, Beilen, Dwingeloo, Westerbork, or Hooghalen. Emmen and Hoogeveen are also highly recommended!
You are in the prehistoric area of Drenthe, which means you absolutely cannot miss the megalithic tombs during your vacation. There are also several museums and galleries for you to visit.

There is much to see near the recreational homes at our park and lovely towns to visit. Do you feel like shopping or soaking up culture during your vacation? Then visit one of the surrounding villages such as Dwingeloo or Ruinen. You will find friendly stores, terraces, friendly cafes, and cozy catering establishments here. As for the really big cities, Emmen, Assen, and Hoogeveen are the most visited! Here, you will also find several museums, galleries, authentic stores, cinemas, and theaters. For example, you can visit the Drents Museum, with many archaeological and historical artifacts, the ancient Hunebedden, or the recreational area Baggelhuizen. In short, it is the perfect location to vacation!
